The Garda Band played a magnificent concert in the school today as part of our Golden Jubilee celebrations.
The boys really enjoyed the concert and learned about all the instruments in the orchestra.
Thank you to the Garda Band for the performance and to Mr. Fitzmaurice for organising the concert.
Bhí na daltaí ó Rang a Sé ag obair go crua i ngairdín na scoile inné. Bail ó Dhia ar an obair buachaillí!

Dear Parents / Guardians,
You may have heard in the community that the Department of Education and Science are considering opening a new secondary school in Swords in 2017. Parental preference will be a key consideration for the Minister of Education when deciding patronage of the new school.
At present two management organisations have expressed a desire to be appointed as patron of the new school; namely the Education and Training Board (patrons of Community Schools such as Fingal Community College) and Educate Together (patrons of primary and secondary Educate Together schools).
I sent home the expressions of interest forms from both management bodies today. Please fill in one expression of interest form from the patronage body that you favour and return it to the class teacher by Thursday 2nd June.
Alternatively you can submit an expression of interest form online.
If you would like the Education and Training Board to be the patron or management body of the new school please click here to fill out the expression of interest form.
If you would like the Educate Together organisation to be the patron or management body of the new school please click here to fill out the expression of interest form.
I encourage you to use this opportunity as parents in the community to have an input in the future of education in Swords.
Now that the fine weather has arrived, some of our boys are wearing the new school shorts. Let’s hope we have many more warm days to enjoy!
